Personal care tips for men

Everyone likes to smell fresh and good but this just doesn’t happen, you have to put in some work. Personal hygiene is very important, imagine making out with someone whose oral hygiene is wanting or haven’t showered in a long while. Well, that can be so disgusting a great turn off for anyone.

However, everybody has a particular body odours. Maintaining good hygiene helps by not compromising the natural odour produced by the body.

We all produce scents designed to attract a partner, these scents are chemical signals called pheromones. You aren’t aware that you can smell them, but they still influence whether or not you find someone attractive.

Good hygiene and your penis

You should wash your penis every day, whether you’re circumcised or uncircumcised.

If you’re uncircumcised, gently pull back your foreskin and use warm water to clean the head of your penis. You can use soap on the shaft of your penis, but it’s probably not a good idea to use soap to clean under your foreskin. It can upset the natural balance of bacteria and actually make you more likely to get fungal infections. If you do choose to wash the head of your penis with soap, use a gentle one without strong perfumes.

It is important to wash away smegma. This is a white or yellowish sticky substance made up of skin oil and shed skin cells. It’s perfectly natural, but it can build up under your foreskin and smell, irritate, and cause infection.

So shower regularly, shave the armpit hair to avoid looking like a caveman from a forest and put on cotton t-shirts and vests.

Whatever you opt to wear must be clean and fresh to give you a fresh scent.

Facial skin

Changing hormone levels might make your skin oilier and cause spots or acne, especially during puberty. If you get spots, use a skin cleanser to make your skin less greasy. Don’t use ordinary soap it can dry your skin out. And then your skin produces even more oil, causing more spots.

Facial hair

Having a neat and well-kept facial hair can be considered very attractive by most women. Apart from it just being attractive, it give you a confident and neater look. How do you go about it?

When shaving, don’t shave too close to the skin, this helps to prevent the bumps that form on the chin.

after shaving, use a good aftershave with a nice scent, however, if you go to the barber to get your cuts make sure to use an antiseptic to prevent infections.
