Free data bundles for Safaricom users
In support of Eliud Kipchoge INEO 1:59, Safaricom has just announced that it will be giving out free YouTube bundles. this is to facilitate Kenyans watch the race live on Saturday.
the YouTube bundles will be accessed by dialing *159#, upon which the customer will receive the free YouTube bundles, allowing them to stream the whole race at no cost.
Safaricom Chief Executive Officer Micheal Joseph also said that the M-Pesa logo will change and it will run for the next seven days. this is to show support for Eliud Kipchoge.
To rally Kenyans to show their support, Safaricom will be allowing Kenyans to send their support messages using the code 159 at no cost.
The messages will be displayed live onย television broadcast feeds during the race.
Eliud Kipchoge who is the M-Pesa ambassador, will be taking up the challenge to run a full marathon in less than 2 hours. This is a task that no athlete has ever undertaken and if Kipchoge will achieve that, he will be the first man to ever do that.
