What I will do to Tangatanga, Kieleweke if I was CS Fred Matiang’i — Francis Ole Kaparo

Former National Assembly Speaker Mr Francis Ole Kaparo has added his view on the ongoing politics of the Tangatanga and Kieleweke movements in the Jubilee Party.

Kaparo stated that had he been the Internal Security Cabinet Secretary he would have a cracked a whip on the two factions since it is uncouth to act as the opposition yet they are both in government.

“These issues are new and hard to understand, I have never seen a President and his Deputy competing and urging in public yet they are in the same leadership,” said Kaparo.

“Then each one of them creates his own army of politicians and sending them out to the grassroots to disturb the citizens. This issues are dangerous and they can break the nation in pieces,” he added.

Kaparo who was speaking on Tuesday at Citizen TV further said that, had he been the minister in charge of security, he would have outlawed the two factions.

“In regards to the Tanga Tanga and Kieleweke groups. Had I been the Cabinet Secretary in charge of Security(Dr Fred Matiang’i) I would outlaw them as Mungiki, Congo By Force and any other unregistered organisation, they are unlawful,” he said.

Finally, Kaparo condemned the two groups for failing to focus on their primary role in advocating for the development mwanainchi but focusing on an election that is still far away.

Kaparo sentiments come in after the Sunday incident at Gatui Catholic Church in Murang’a county where Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro and nominated MP Maina Kamanda had a scuffle in the church during a fundraiser.
