Punguza Mzigo Bill wins again in Murang’a

Thirdway Alliance Party leader Ekuru Aukot has received yet another boost after Murang’a county became the second county to officially pass the Punguza Mzigo Bill.

Commenting on his official Twitter handle, Aukot celebrated the county saying they are indeed on the right path.

Murang’a joins Uasin Gishu county that became the first local government to approve the Bill.

The Bill need to be supported by 24 counties for it to march towards the referendum path.

Article 257 of the Constitution states that an amendment to the Constitution may be proposed by a popular initiative signed by at least one million registered voters.
