Gen Z’s Refusal to Engage President Ruto on X
Hours before the TV interview, Kenyan President William Ruto addressed residents in Bomet County.
In a typical roaring fashion, Ruto warned that his government would deal ruthlessly with protestors out to cause mayhem and instability.
He also noted that the majority of protestors, who are Gen Zs, refused to engage with him on X.
“Walisema tusipitishe Finance Bill, nimewacha Finance Bill, Nikawaita wakasema hawataki kuzungumza na mimi wakaniambia niende X, nikaenda kwa X, wakatoroka huko'” the president said in part.
The president’s claims were put to Kasmuel, who was on the spot to explain Gen Zs refusal to engage the president on X.
Kasmuel clarified that Ruto was not invited to X space by Gen Z and that the president had no business being in X space when he was not acting.
“We boycotted the space because he was not acting!” said Mcoure.
Passaris accuses Gen Z of planning to paralyze the economy
During the show, Passaris made broad accusations against Gen Z, alleging their plans to economically disrupt the country.
Her statement comes in the wake of heavy looting and vandalism of businesses witnessed in the recent protests.
The once-peaceful protests are now widely believed to have been infiltrated by hired goons who have ransacked shops and mugged protestors across the country.
“When I saw the program of Gen Z for the next month, it’s basically to paralyze the economy of Kenya. The unemployment of 67% will go to 70%,” said the Nairobi Woman Representative.
Kasmuel promptly countered the legislator, stating, “That has been the agenda of the political class since independence.”
His response was backed by civil society member Wanjiru Ginkonyo who added “They do not paralyze it, they are looking after their country.”

Kasmuel Mcoure’s contributions on TV have not gone unnoticed if comments on X and other social networks are anything to go by.
Kenyans took to X to congratulate the young Alliance High and Maranda School alumnus for his articulate presentations on governance.

Kasmuel’s remarks have seemingly breathed life into the ongoing protests against the government.
