Bongo Flava star Diamond Platinumz has officially announced that he plans to officially officiate his relationship with baby mama Tanasha Donna.

Chibu, as he is popularly known, revealed this during Queen Darleen’s wedding, that hopefully, he will walk down the aisle next year.

“Naomba mwenyezi Mungu atubariki. Mungu akipenda mwaka ujao itakuwa zamu yangu. Karibu kila mtu ninayemfahamu hapa ameoa kwa hivyo sina sababu ya kusema sitaoa pia. Nina mwanamke mzuri ambaye amenipa mtoto mrembo na sikosi chochote kutoka kwake…,” said Platinumz.

This comes barely a month after reports indicated that Platinumz had changed his mind on marrying Tanasha.

According to his half-sister Darleen, she alleged that “the Number one hitmaker fears losing his female fans’ support base, if he marries anytime soon.”

“Sisi hujadiliana sana kuhusu maswala ya ndoa, Mondi ni mtu anayehofia sana kujiingiza kwenye ndoa. Anataka ajiandae ipasavyo kabla ya kuamua kufunga pingu za maisha,” said Queen Darlin.

She further noted that Diamond fears being tied up to a woman, adding that if “he was to get married she would like him to marry many women.”

“Diamond fears locking himself up in a marital cage. He says he wants to settle down when he is ready, and I don’t think he is currently up for it.”

Dar es Salaam regional commissioner, Paul Makonda, also echoed Darleen’s sentiments, saying he risks losing his female fan base.

“When you are a male artiste whose fans largely comprise women, then know that if you marry, all the women who adore you will lose interest in you and your music. Sometimes it leaves you wondering whether it was even possible to marry all of them,” said Makonda.

Diamond and Tanasha started dating last year in November, seven months after the Inama hitmaker was ditched by his Ugandan wife, Zari Hassan.

Diamond and Tanasha who had recently planned their wedding canceled the ceremony due to, “planning reasons,” alleging that they needed more time to plan a flamboyant ceremony that would attract the likes of American rapper Rick Ross.

The couple shares a son.
