Embattled Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino is currently at Milimani law courts to seek a bond release after his one-week remand sentence elapsed.
There was commotion earlier in the morning at the courtroom after one of Babu’s supporters was arrested for being disorderly after he shouted at a state lawyer.
Babu is facing charges of attempted murder after he allegedly shot a Nairobi club DJ identified as DJ Evolve following an altercation.

During last week’s session, the judge had deferred the hearing to allow time for DJ Evolve to give his opinion on the plea by Babu to be released on bail terms. The DJ’s family has however opposed Owino’s bond plea.
