About KASNEB

Legal framework

kasneb was established as a state corporation under the National Treasury by the Government of Kenya on 24 July 1969. The establishment and operations of kasneb are governed by the following main Acts:

  1. The Accountants Act, No. 15 of 2008 (which repealed the Accountants Act, Cap 531 of 1977).
  2. The Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya Act, Cap 534 of 1988.
  3. The Investment and Financial Analysts Act, No. 13 of 2015.

Mandate

The mandate of kasneb, is the development of syllabuses, conduct of professional, diploma and technician examinations and certification of candidates in accountancy, finance, credit, governance and management, information technology and related disciplines, promotion of its qualifications nationally and internationally and the accreditation of relevant training institutions in liaison with the ministry in charge of education.

Quality policy statement

kasneb is committed to providing globally competitive professionals through the development of syllabuses, conduct of quality examinations, certification of candidates, promotion of its qualifications nationally and internationally and accreditation of relevant training institutions.

kasneb shall continually improve its Quality Management System by conforming to ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System International Standard and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements in order to meet and exceed the expectations of its customers.

kasneb shall annually review the quality policy and quality objectives.

Candidates should send an SMS to 20558 using the following format to access their examination results:

Kasneb/registration number. Example, ATC/87061 where ATC/87061 is the registration number of the candidate.

The SMS service is at a premium rate of Sh. 10 per SMS Candidates who have not yet created an account on the student portal are advised to do so in order to access their examination results. The candidates should follow the steps listed below:

(i) Create an account as a student using your registration number.
(ii) Fill in the Examination, Registration Number, Date of birth and/or ID Number, Phone number and Country.
(iii) Provide an email address and password and sign up. An activation link will shortly be sent to your email.
(iv) Click on the activation link sent to your email to activate your account and login thereafter.
(v) Click on resources and select “examination results”.

Candidates who already have an account should proceed to sign in by providing their email and password.
