“You cannot keep coming to me for advice and your fake commitment to the ‘movement’ then you go out to use my initiative’s name, and slogan and plan to execute a vision you do not understand.

Then you go out and act like you are so superior. Umekuja sana kijana. Kenya Ni Home and home must be respected,” wrote Mercy Tarus on X.

In an apparent salvo aimed at Kebaso, the Kenya Ni Home Initiative founder alleged that suspicious characters have been attending revolutionary meetings to steal ideas and strategy.

The frustrated activist also alleges that the accused rush to implement the ideas publicly, presenting them as their own.

According to Ms. Tarus, the trend had gone on for a while compelling her to speak out against it.

In response, popular city lawyer and activist Morara Kebaso sent out a tweet acknowledging that he was using a slogan owned by another movement.

Kebaso also asked his supporters to suggest other slogans his movements could use to push for accountability in government.

Mercy Tarus demands consultation fees from Morara, accuses him of creating a personality cult

In her damning tweets, Tarus revealed that she has been devising Morara’s political strategy from behind the scenes.

According to the prominent female activist, she has been dictating every move to Morara who became an instant sensation in Kenya’s political space.

“And pay me for the consultation you always come for when you don’t know what to do next. You can see even the way you say it you’re not bold. Because it is not from your heart. If you’re man enough you form yours,” wrote Tarus on one of her posts.

Mercy Tarus also shared screenshots of Morara allegedly asking for advice on the design of his brand colors.

From the screenshots, Mercy Tarus acknowledges the colors as unique and that Morara could use them to perfection should he decide to brand himself or form a political party.

The litany of accusations stretches to claims of a personality cult allegedly being instituted by Morara.

Tarus accused Morara of portraying himself as a Messiah, in the process following the same script used by politicians to conquer the masses.

“You cannot claim to be conducting any civic education and engagement by consolidating people around you like the same politicians for your selfish gains.”

Mercy Tarus blasts Morara Kebaso on X

Morara Kebaso has deliberately chosen the mode of operations by Kenya’s political class in his public engagements.

Having recently acquired a powerful public address system, Morara moves in a convoy of heavy-duty SUVs and addresses crowds from the familiar sunroof spot on top of the car.

It is Morara’s persuasion that this could be a formidable strategy to counter the deceptive mainstream political narrative.

Mercy Tarus decries Morara’s opposing style of politics while using her Initiative’s name.

She claims that Morara’s actions have brought confusion within her camp, forcing her to repeatedly clarify to supporters that she is not affiliated with him.

Latest comments by Mercy Tarus on Morara’s adoption of the “Kenya Ni Home” slogan

Defending her movement, Ms. Tarus explained that Kenya Ni Home existed even before the world-famous Gen Z demos.

According to her, the initiative has been primarily involved in agriculture and entertainment-related projects.

While accusing Morara of exploiting the current wave of public discontent for political gain, Tarus stated that she advocates for active citizenship rather than rallying Kenyans around a single individual.

Her statements have taken social media by storm attracting widespread condemnation by X users. A significant number of users on Twitter have described her claims as petty, irresponsible, and ultimately unhelpful to the cause.
