Why being single is actually good for your life

This might not sit well with some people but being single is great and there is nothing to be ashamed of. Yes, there is this frenzy that by a certain age, every young woman should be in a relationship leading to a marriage and if you are not, then there is something terribly amiss.

To be honest, you’d rather be single and have fun on your own than be in a relationship that gives you heartaches. Being single has numerous advantages than most people would like to believe.  What are some of these advantages?

You have a lot of time to rediscover yourself

Being single gives you the opportunity to rediscover yourself. When you are alone, you get to see things clearly and you are able to clearly discern what you want in life and how to get there.

You also get to do all the things that you had postponed.

You are free to flirt around

I’m not condoning flirting around but its the fact. This is a privilege that is only available to the singles. You cannot flirt around if you are in a committed relationship. So you got to enjoy this while it lasts.

We learn from other peoples mistakes

Since you are super single, you get to learn from your past experiences and also other peoples. We all have friends who are always in relationships before you decide to get into any relationship, you can learn a thing or two from them.

You learn how to love ourselves more

Some of the problems that most relationships suffer today are as a result of people not loving themselves first.

You can’t love someone when you don’t love yourself. In every situation, you come first and no one can teach you that apart from you.

So when you are single, it gives you time to heal, breath and show yourself some love.

You learn to be more spontaneous

Yes, you heard that right. You can do whatever it is that you like and want without thinking about the repercussion on others. You are single, you don’t have to worry about how your boyfriend if you had one, would react.
