Who is Benard Ngugi: Kenya Power new MD/CEO
Kenya’s sole electricityย transmission and distribution company Kenya Power Limited through its Board of Directors has appointed Benard Ngugi as the new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer.
Mr Ngugi takes over leadership from Eng Jared Othieno who was serving in an acting capacity since July 2018.
Who is the new sheriff at the helm of Kenya Power, below are some of Ngugi’s accomplishments.
- Ngugi served as Kenya Power General Manager Supply Chain
2. He boasts of over 30-years experience at Kenya Power.
3. His expertise lies in Internal audit, supply chain management, accounting, financial and revenue.
4.ย Holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting.
The top management position at Kenya Power became vacant after former MD Ken Tarus was arrested and charged over graft allegations.
