Justice for a widow who lost Sh100 million plot to Ferdinand Waititu
The office of the Ombudsman or Commission on Administration of Justice (CAJ) has today revived the joy one widow Cecilia Mbugua who had lost her Sh100 million plot of land to Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu.
According to the Ombudsman, the land belonged to Mrs Mbugua but was illegally acquired from her and transferred to Esther Nyatu by Governor Waititu.
The embattled governor could face fresh charges of abuse of office if the report by the Ombudsman is anything to go by once it goes through DPP.
“We will hand over our report to the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions and the Directorate of Criminal Investigations. We are not allowed to prosecute. We follow our investigations and if we find a criminal element then we forward the same to the relevant offices,” Ms Florence Kajuju, CAJ chairperson.
Mrs Mbugua woes apparently began in 2013, when she had sought for county government’s approval to develop the land.
