Infinix launches the Hot 8 & Hot 8 Lite in the Kenyan market

Infinix Mobile has launched its new smartphone in the Kenyan market, the Infinix Hot 8. The smartphone is available in two variants, HOT 8 and HOT lite.

The phone is a successor to the Infinix Hot 7, which was launched in Kenya in March 2019. The phone was launched globally in early September andย was made available in Kenya on pre-order in September 2019.

The two phones, the HOT 8 and HOT 8 lite, are available in INFINIX retail shops countrywide and online onย XParkย (formerly known as infinixmall) for a retail price of Ksh. 10999 and Ksh. 9999 respectively. In addition, a 32+3 variant of HOT 8 will be sold exclusively on Jumia Kenya from November 6th for Ksh. 11,899.

The phone comes with Android 9 Pie OS, MT6761 (Hot 8) and MT6580 processors (Hot 8 Lite), 32GB Internal storage + 3GB RAM for the Hot 8 & 32GB Internal storage +2GB RAM for Hot 8 Lite. It also comes with a triple camera setup: 13MP + 2MP depth sensor + dedicated low light sensor, phase detection autofocus, and LED flash.

The phone features a 6.6-inch HD+ waterdrop screen and a 5,000mAh battery. The battery can apparently last for 4 days with light use. It also comes with 2A fast charge technology. The phone comes with colours such as: Midnight black, Champagne gold, and Aqua blue.
