Kenyan rapper Brian Ouko Robert popularly known as Khaligraph Jones has revealed how he battled depression when he started out.
In a recent interview with BBC Khaliigraph opened about his past struggle, where narrated how naysayers discouraged him from venturing into music.
“You are out there trying to do music and you get opinions from people who are constantly trying to bring you down, telling you to choose another career path. It was really depressing,” he said.
But the rapper said he never lost hope and remained focus until God saw him out of the depression he had fallen into.
The rapper who was born and bred in Kayole has had his fair share of challenges. And over the years he has never shied away from sharing his life challenges and struggles. He’s partying short to the youths’ is.
“Rome was not built in a day, you might be trying out, you doing music whatever it is you are trying to do, you have to be patient because when your time comes you will enjoy,” he said.
