Governor Alfred Mutua fingers DP Ruto and Aden Duale for threatening his life

More political tension is set to rock the nation after Machakos Governer Alfred Mutua moved to Kilimani Police station where he recorded a statement that his life is in danger.

The second-term governor alleged that Deputy President William Ruto and Parliament Majority leader Aden Duale are the persons of interest behind threats to his life.

On Monday, Mutua addressed journalist outside the Kilimani police station where he also mentioned Elgeyo Marakwet county senator Kipchumba Murkomen as another person of interest.

“I was attacked by Duale and Murkomen, who threatened to attack me further because they feel like I am attacking DP Ruto,” said Mutua.

Mutua also alleged that on December 11, 2019, while visiting the State House DP Ruto in the presence of Aden Duale threatened to teach him a lesson for attacking him.

‘You have been attacking me and I have to crush you. I will teach you a lesson,” the words that DP Ruto allegedly told Mutua.

“I was petrified not only by the words uttered by the DP Ruto but by the intensity of his eyes and angry tone of voice,” Mutua said.

The Maendeleo Chap Chap party leader who has also expressed an interest for the house on the hill in 2022 has, however, said the threats to his life will not kill his zeal for the truth.
