Gengetone Group, Ethic Entertainment has broken silence hours after their controversial song Tarimbo was deleted from YouTube.

Taking to twitter the group confirmed the action taken by YouTube, as they assured their fans that all was well.

“Tarimbo has been taken down from YouTube. To our loyal fans, we keep moving expect some fire project soon.” Read the tweet.

The moves come days after the song released last week created an uproar, as it was interpreted to advocate for rape and violence among women.

The uproar forced Ethic to apologize to the public, stating that they didn’t mean to disrespect women or advocate for violence or rape.

As Ethic Entertainment, we are truly remorseful for any dolor caused by the lyrics to our single, and for every single person that was triggered to a displeasing memory or emotion by it, receive our sincere apologies. Rest assured that no disrespect was intended,” read part of the apology.
