Davido’s manager denies claims he was arrested in Dubai over stabbing incident

Soso Soberekon, Davido’s manager has refuted claims that Nigerian singer David Adeleke alias Davido was arrested in Dubai for stabbing a man following a fracas at a club.

It was reported Monday that the singer had been arrested for alleged stabbing Michael aka Dream Chaser, who is said to be the younger brother of Abu Abel, the CEO of Obimzy Records in Dubai.

However, Soberekon downplayed the allegations, clarifying that the singer is in London to support one of his artists.

“Arrest? Lol, Davido is in London to support his artist Mayorkun.” Said Soberekon.

However, Davido’s Insta stories indicated that he was in Dubai few hours after the alleged incident.

It was alleged that the singer was drunk and engaged in a scuable that led to the stabbing using a broken bottle. Multiple reports indicate that the incident happened inside an elevator at Crab Market, Emirates Financial Towers, Dubai.

The singer was in Dubai over the weekend attending the One Africa Music Festival.

Amid the stabbing allegations, Davido took to his social media page to celebrate Maryorkun one of the artists signed under his label  Davido Worldwide Music (DMW), who had a sold-out concert in the Indigo, O2 venue in London.

“This feeling it’s so amazing I don’t even know how to describe it. I feel like I planted a seed, and watered it with hope that it would only just fill up the big pot I had built for it someday. For that alone I would have been the happiest and proudest guy a live,” he wrote.

“I feel like I left the plant for two days to come back and see that it had grown into a tree so big it at taken the roof the whole house off! From being mayor of Lagos to Mayor of London, am the proudest big brother, friend and fan right now bro. God bless your hustle. Continue to work hard, continue to shine.”
