Critical evidence missing in a case where Nyeri chief stole Bishop Thomas Wahome’s dogs

Decisive evidence has been reported missing in a case where an assistant chief from Othaya, Nyeri county was accused of stealing two dogs belonging to televangelist Thomas Wahome.

Wahome of the Helicopter Ministries had testified in court that, Assistant chief Paul Gachiri Wageniย of Kiandemi sublocation had stolen his two Terrier breed valued at Sh300,000 in December 2016.

Gachiri was released on a cash bail of Sh100,000 or a bond of Sh200,000 after denying the charges before Othaya senior resident magistrate Monica Munyendo.

Gachiri also claimed that he had legally bought the two dogs from Bishop Wahome’s mother, Antonia Njambi in 2013.
