Audacious Canine Receives Heartwarming Tribute from World’s Most Powerful Office.
The military dog that played perhaps the most vital role in the US mission to capture and execute leader of the dreaded ISIS jihadist group Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi has been showered with glowing praises by US President Donald Trump. Taking to twitter, Trump has described the dog as “beautiful” and “talented” saying it did a great job.
According to the American Kennel Club, the dog is a Belgian Malinois, a rare brave breed that is known for its strength and intelligence, with impressive abilities to learn and perform various military commands thus making it useful for operations in combat situations.
In the tweet, Trump praised the dog for its agility saying that no single military officer was hurt during the raid, but was quick to withhold its name in an effort to protect its identity for security purposes.
Additional reports however indicate that the dog sustained minor injuries during the raid. It is worth noting that this is not the first time a dog has accompanied the US military in a top secret undertaking. In 2011, a dog named Cairo greatly aided the US forces during the raid that killed Osama bin Laden.
