Aisha Jumwa arrested
Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa has been arrested over the shooting that led to the death of one man in Ganda Ward, Kilifi County on Tuesday evening.
The police officers stormed into the MP’s home at 2 am on Wednesday after camping outside since 10 PM since Jumwa denied them access.
Jumwa was arrested alongside four others.
The arrest comes in hours after the MP allegedly stormed into an ODM agent meeting at the home of ODM candidate Ruben Katana.
“Campaigns ended on Monday at 6 pm as per the law and once I received reports that the ODM candidate was holding an illegal meeting, I decided to go and protest why police were not doing their duty,” said Jumwa.

Fresh updates have confirmed that the MP will be presented before a judge to defend herself today.
